Here is my entry for this week’s edition of Weekly Weather: Night. The top two photos were taken on my iPhone, and the bottom was my very first attempt at night photography (unfortunately I didn’t have the original file, just the much smaller sized copy on my iPhone that I had downloaded years ago.) I just got a new telephoto lens that I can’t wait to try out at night, so I hope to be improving my night photography skills soon!

Here is my entry for this week’s edition of The Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge: Friend. I chose to use photos that could be interpreted as animals with their friends, or also that animals are friends to us as humans.

Here is my first entry for this month’s Photo Blogging Challenge with the theme of Look Up. I spend a lot of time looking up at trees even without my camera just appreciating the fact that I can see so much detail in them now that I have glasses, and with my love of nature photography, I spend a lot of time photographing trees and flowers! Hope you enjoy these photos!

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Hot and /or Cold

Here’s my entry for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Hot and/or Cold. I chose two photos for this challenge that, in my eyes, combine the concepts of hot and cold. This is Lake Ontario in late spring, when the last of the snow banks are finally melting and SUNY Oswego students are rejoicing because [for the most part] they don’t have to worry about snow or whiteouts anymore until next winter, and the temperatures are a generous amount above zero for the first time since November. So, maybe think of Katy Perry’s, “Hot N Cold” when you think of Oswego. 😀

Tuesday Photo Challenge: Old

Here is my entry for this week’s Tuesday Photo Challenge: Old. I picked this photo because the building on the right (Hewitt Hall/Union) is a gorgeous building at Oswego that is among the older ones on campus. It also used to be the student union (home to almost all of the student organizations on campus) before the Campus Center* was built in 2006 and became host to most student activities. This was one of my favorite buildings on campus.

*The Campus Center was renamed Marano Campus Center in 2014 due to a donation. However most students like myself who had already become set in their ways continued to call it the Campus Center.

Here is my entry for the 52 Weeks Photo Challenge: Week 36 – Simple Things. I decided to focus my entry on the beauty I have been discovering recently in things that a lot of people never think about (or look at.) Weeds! They are often right beneath our feet when we are walking on grass, and even though [some] might be pesky to gardeners, they really are quite gorgeous.

Here is my flower of the day for today! Lilacs blooming in my neighbor’s yard! Unfortunately these lilacs had wilted within a few days of this picture, but they were still beautiful to look at!
